3D printer accessories
Using 3D printer accessories is essential for the proper performance of the 3D printer and ensures fewer incorrect 3D prints, less maintenance and better quality prints. We include several products at Filamentz under 3D printer accessories, namely:
- Extruder parts such as nozzles, heaters, heat breaks, thermistors and other hot end parts
- Non-3D printer related parts, such as isopropanol for cleaning your printing surface and sharp cutting pliers to feed your filament with the correct shape to the 3D printer
Hotend parts
At Filamentz we offer a wide range of 3D printer parts that we see as accessories for your 3D printer. one of them, for example, is hotend parts. We offer these in the following categories:
- Nozzles
- Heaters
- Heat breaks
- Thermistors
- Complete extruder packages
- Hotend protection materials
We offer these 3D printer accessories from E3D and Micro Swiss. Both guarantee excellent quality for an even better price. All these parts can be used on Creality 3D printers, but also Prusa, Flashforge and Anet, for example, due to the commonly used format that these parties supply.
Other 3D printer accessories
In addition to the parts for the hotend, Filamentz also offers other 3D printer accessories, for example for maintenance and better performance of the 3D printer. one of these, for example, is isopropanol from Hoefer Chemie. This isopropanol, with a purity of 99.9%, can be perfectly used to wash resin objects, but also to clean and degrease print surfaces, to ensure that 3D prints stick. First of all, this ensures fewer incorrect prints and the first saw generally looks neater, depending on the type of surface. We also offer lubricant for 3D prints, from the Synco brand. This lubricant is excellent for bearings (for example the LMU bearings from Misumi), rails and other conductive objects used on 3D printers. Finally, the range also includes cutting pliers, with which a sharp point can be created. This ensures fewer blockages when loading filament and therefore better performance of the hot end.
3D printing with E3D Revo
E3D's newest system is called Revo. This new series of 3D printer hotends is known for being lighter, cheaper and easier to maintain than regular 3D printer hotends. E3D Revo knows how to guarantee quality by, for example, combining heaters and thermistors in heater blocks and combining the entire heat break with the actual nozzle. This not only greatly reduces the risk of errors, blockages and maintenance, but also makes it possible to change 3D printer nozzles within seconds instead of minutes. Changing between 0.25, 0.4, 0.6 or 0.8 mm E3D Revo nozzles is easy and doable. Instead of dreading changing nozzles, it has now become a piece of cake and accessible to everyone.
Best 3D printer settings E3D Revo
As a starting point, it can be assumed that the same settings can be used as a previously used 3D printer hotend. Since most of it is integrated with the E3D Revo, it is advisable to do a PID tuning of the new situation and perhaps reduce your retraction slightly than you were used to before. Furthermore, the E3D Revo is also equipped with a 0.4 mm brass nozzle as standard, so that the 3D printing temperatures can be kept the same.
